RPOAS North East Branch are delighted to host the championship for the first time and extend a very warm welcome to those members who wish to attend.
The championship will be held over a two day period on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th July 2018 with one round of golf on each day at two different golf clubs, the main inter-Branch competition being on the Friday. However, members may elect to play only one venue if they so wish.
For those wishing to play both days the Hallmark Hotel, Farburn Estate, Dyce, Aberdeen, AB21 7DW, is offering a bed and breakfast rate of £69 per night in a deluxe bedroom for single occupancy or double occupancy at £79 per night. 26 July 2018 – Craibstone
Play will commence on Thursday 26th July at Craibstone Golf Club, Bucksburn, Aberdeen, AB21 9SX, which is situated only 5 minutes from Aberdeen Airport and is on the soon to be completed Aberdeen Bypass. The club is offering a package of a breakfast roll with tea/coffee on arrival, a round of golf and two-course meal on conclusion of the game. Total cost for this venue will be £40 which will also include transport to and from any accommodation required.
Craibstone Golf Course is a par 68 parkland course full of many intricacies and challenges and a great joy to play.
27 July 2018 – Newburgh
On Friday 27th July 2018 play will commence at Newburgh-on-Ythan Golf Club, Beach Road, Newburgh, Aberdeenshire, AB41 6BY, which is situated approximately 12miles north of Aberdeen on the A90 and turn off to Newburgh village. The golf club is well signposted at the entrance to the village. The club is offering a package of a breakfast roll with tea/coffee on arrival, a round of golf and a two-course meal on conclusion of the game. Total cost for this venue is £40 which will include transport to and from the Hallmark Hotel or members can use their own respective transport.
Newburgh-on-Ythan is a par 72 championship links course first completed in 1888. It is a challenging course and will test golfers. The course has a spectacular clubhouse with beautiful views over the Ythan Nature Reserve.
Play will commence on both days at 11 am but members need to be at the venues at 10 am for tea/coffee and roll.
It should also be noted that Trump International Links is 3 miles from Newburgh in case members wish to try the course.

Members will be responsible for hotel bills but should also notify us of their accommodation requirements so that liaison between the North East Branch and the hotel can take place.
Transport for members’ partners who may wish to attend to do shopping, sightseeing etc. will also be available and included in the golf fee.

All monies should be paid as soon as possible so that we can pay a deposit to the Clubs and give them an idea of the numbers taking part.
